Move In Check List
Do I need to schedule a check-in?
Yes, contact our office and schedule a check-in for the date you would like to move in.
What kind of Insurance do I need?:
We require at least $100,000 worth of Fire Legal and Liability Insurance prior to moving in. Your agent can fax us a binder at 715-831-2107 or you can drop off a copy at the office prior to your check-in.
When is the power switched to my name?
If you pay the utilities for your apartment they will be switched to your name on the first day of your lease.
Who provides cable/internet?
Charter Cable & Internet: 715-538-3019.
Move Out Guidelines
Remember that your lease requires you notify us in writing at lease 60 days prior to the end of your lease.
Download our Move-out guidelines form and contact the office to schedule a checkout time with our staff.
The move out guidelines form will give you a detailed list of everything we expect cleaned when you move out. Our staff will also schedule a
pre-move out inspection prior to the checkout where they will check the apartment and let you know if there are any areas that need work.
Remember, we bill our cleaning time at $35/ hour.
If Peters Rentals is responsible for scheduling the carpet cleaning it will be done after your checkout. If you choose to schedule the carpet cleaning it must be done after all furniture is moved out of the apartment but before the last day of the lease and you must provide the original receipt to the office. Carpets must be dry prior to checkout.
Security deposits are returned to the last known address within 3 weeks from the last day of the lease. Giving us your new address at checkout is the best way to ensure you receive your deposit as quickly as possible, forwarded mail can take up to 3 weeks to be delivered.
